Q. Can archival materials be checked out from the library?
I'm looking to find information about the accreditation history of UNC, but would need to check the materials out (specifically University Records Group 7, Series 4- Institution Accreditation) and bring them back to the office (Carter Hall), is this allowed? Or do I need to be in the library to have access these materials?
No, archival material and items within the Special Collections must remain within the library. Archives is open M-F, 8-5. Please call (970) 351-2854 in advance so that we can pull the material that you wish to examine prior to your visit.
