A proxy error may appear in this situation:
*Using Internet Explorer, you login and view an electronic reserve item.
*If you exit out of the reserve item and immediately click on the title to view it again, you may see a proxy error.
To avoid the error, you can close Internet Explorer altogether, then open it again and go back and view the needed material.
The error does not appear if you look at multiple electronic reserve items in sequence, only if you open one item; close it, then attempt to view the same one again.
You can also avoid the error by using a browser other than Internet Explorer such as Firefox or Chrome.
